Inside Communities, you can post to the Discussion tab or inside channels, attach videos, gifs, images, files and add links.
This guide is perfect if you want to:
Create posts that drive discussion and engagement
Embed videos from services like YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom
Share files with your members
Publish an update in the right channel to keep conversations organised and on-topic.
Log in to your community group > and select the channel (#topic) where you want to post
Click "What’s on your mind" to create a new post > and add a Title and Description
Click [Publish Post]
Give your community more variety of content by adding videos to posts. You don't need to just post images or text, you can share a tutorial or a coaching session!
In your post editor, click the [Video] icon
Either upload an MP4 or paste a share link (YouTube, Vimeo, Loom) > then click [Add Link]
Confirm the embed preview appears successfully
Click [Publish Post]
Inside a community post, you can embed anything from a Loom, to a Vimeo or YouTube video, using the direct link.
You won’t be able to pin a post, if your community channel is set to private. Only posts from public channels can be pinned to the Community Home discussion. Once the channel is changed from private to public, you will be able to pin the post as expected.
At the moment, community admins do not receive direct notifications when a member creates a new post inside the community. As a possible workaround, if an admin follows a specific user, they can receive a notification whenever that user publishes a new post through the “New Post From Followed User” notification setting.
