This article is supplementary to our Master Help Guide: All About Phone and SMS. We recommend starting with the visual walkthrough video and examples inside the Master Help Guide before diving into the technical setup below.
Each Master Help Guide acts as your project plan - teaching you the feature, laying out the steps in the right order, and linking to every resource you’ll need along the way.
This guide is perfect if you're looking to:
Purchase a local Australian mobile number through Ivorey™
Setup an Address Bundle and Regulatory Bundle
What is the Address Bundle and Regulatory Bundle, and Why Do I Need It?
Some countries require legal documentation before a number can be activated. These are industry regulations and not something Ivorey™ controls, and are handled via third-party review.
If you want to call or text Australian mobile numbers through Ivorey™, you’ll need to purchase a local Australian number and setup an Address Bundle and Regulatory Bundle. These are used to prove that your business is registered and legally allowed to operate with Australian numbers.
Once approved, you’ll be able to select and activate a number inside your account. Please note, phone services are an optional add-on cost in addition to your Ivorey™ subscription.
If you're registering for a USA number, you'll require A2P Registration instead, not an Address Bundle or Regulatory Bundle. You can learn more about this here.
How To Setup An Australian Phone Number on Ivorey™
From the main Ivorey™ menu, click [Settings] > [Phone Numbers]
Click [+Create] > [Address Bundle]. Enter your business details exactly as they appear on your ASIC registration (including name and address).
After saving, click [+Create] > [Regulatory Bundle]
Choose [Country: Australia], and set [Type: Mobile]
Upload your ASIC registration document in all required fields. All details must match your ASIC record exactly, including spelling and capitalisation. If you don’t have your ASIC PDF yet, go to ABN Lookup, search your ABN or business name, then use the ASIC Registers tab to find and download your record.
You will also need proof of business address, either from your ASIC registration document, business utility bill, tax notice, rent receipt or title deed.
Once submitted, your bundle may take up to 24 hours to be approved.
After approval, return to [Phone Numbers], click [+Add Number], select [Australia], choose your area code, and add your number.
