Creating urgency is a powerful way to increase conversions and encourage quicker decision-making. The Countdown Timer in Ivorey™ allows you to display a visual timer that counts down to a set deadline. You can add it to emails, landing pages, or websites to prompt fast action.
This guide is perfect if you want to:
Add a countdown timer to your emails, website pages, or funnels
Create urgency to improve conversions and response rates
Promote limited-time offers, sales, or event deadlines
Step 1: Create a Countdown Timer
In this step, you’ll customise your timer design, choose whether it’s fixed, recurring, or dynamic, and set the date, time, and end behaviour.

From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to [Marketing] > [Countdown Timers] > [New] to create a new timer
Choose a design template for your timer then click [Continue with this template] - you will be able to customise the design afterwards
Choose the type of timer you need for your campaign:
Fixed Timer: Countdown to a specific date and time, perfect for one-time events
Recurring Timer: Resets after reaching zero, useful for ongoing promotions
Dynamic Timer: Personalised for each user based on interactions, such as email opens
Configure the timer details:
For Fixed Timers: Set the exact date and time the countdown ends
For Recurring Timers: Define the countdown duration and the number of loops
[Optional] Add dynamic links to choose what happens when the timer ends:
Active timer link: Add the URL that users will be directed to while the timer is active (e.g. an offer or checkout page)
Expired timer link: Add the URL for when the timer has expired (e.g., a page indicating that the offer has ended)
From the left panel, select the [Styling Tab] tab to customise the appearance of your timer by adjusting labels, fonts, corner radius, colours, padding, and the time display format. You can also upload an optional expiration image that appears once the timer ends.
Rename the timer at the top of your page so it's easy to locate in the future, and then click [Save] to enable the timer.
Step 2: Add Your Countdown Timer To Funnels, Emails and/or WhatsApp
Countdown timers can be added to funnel pages, emails and/or WhatsApp to create urgency and encourage visitors to take action before an offer expires. Once your timer is created, you can insert it directly into these assets and have them synchronised across your campaign.

From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to [Site Pages] > [Funnels/Websites] > Select your funnel/website > Choose the page you want to add the timer to.
Inside the page editor, click on the add element icon [+] > [Countdown Timer] > choose your timer style from the available options.
Drag your timer into the section of the page where you want it to appear.
When you’re happy with how the countdown timer looks, click [Save] and [Publish].

From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to [Marketing] > [Emails] > [Templates] > Select your email template.
In the email editor, click the (+) icon and select the [Countdown Timer] element. Drag the element onto the page, choose your countdown timer template.
Click [Save Template].

Countdown Timers allow you to add time-sensitive offers within WhatsApp messages, helping create urgency and boost engagement.
From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to [Settings] > [WhatsApp]
Enable the [Countdown Timer] within your WhatsApp settings > Create a WhatsApp message template
[Add a button] > choose [timer] > add the timer URL > [Create].
