Live Sessions let you host live streams directly inside your courses, so your students can join in real time or watch the recording afterwards - all without leaving your course environment. Whether you run weekly coaching calls, live Q&As, or structured learning sessions, this keeps everything in one place for your students.
Running live sessions inside your course means your students don't need to jump between platforms or chase down a Zoom link. Everything lives inside the course they're already enrolled in, and recordings are saved and ready to add back as course lessons once the session ends. It's a cleaner experience for your students and a simpler workflow for you.
This guide is perfect if you want to:
Go live directly from your course, so students can join easily
Schedule one-time or recurring live streaming sessions inside a course
Download recordings after a session ends, or add them back to your course as a lesson

We recommend setting up a test live session, inside a course which is currently in Draft (with only yourself as a student). Set up your test session, configure your notification settings to your preference, and set the scheduled session time accordingly so you will be able to receive the reminder (e.g. if you set the reminder for 1 day, schedule the date and time for 1 day from now).
Test adjusting the session details, and actually going live, if you’ve enabled those notifications. This will allow you to check all of the real emails and notifications your students will receive before your live session, according to what you’ve enabled.
If you’re unsure how to add yourself to a test/drafted course for testing, ensure the course offer is published, and refer to our Manually Grant Course or Community Access guide for the steps to add yourself to the course.
