The Skool Import feature allows for a simple migration of posts and members from your Skool Groups into your Ivorey
Communities. In this article, we’ll provide step-by-step guidance on how to use the Skool Import Tool for an ideal transition.

An Ivorey
Community: You'll need to have prepared your Ivorey
Community before starting the Skool Import process because your Ivorey
Community is where your group members and posts will import to. If you haven't already done this, you can find the step-by-step guide over here.
Ensure you're the Ivorey
Community Admin: You will need to be an Admin of the community in order to use the Skool Import Tool.
Verify Admin Credentials: Before starting the process Skool Import process, be sure to double-check that the admin credentials you have are correct and have the necessary permissions to access group data.
Prepare for Missing Emails: Clean up your Skool member list to ensure that all of your members' email addresses and information is correct so they can import correctly.
Always re-sync before downloading if your Skool group is active.
This guide is perfect if you want to:
Import your posts and members from Skool to Ivorey
. Therefore we can only provide limited troubleshooting support, and can not guarantee its performance. We always suggest leaving sufficient time to manually upload your course content in the instance you run into any issues with the importer tool.
From the main Ivorey
menu, go to Courses > then hover over Communities > click on [Groups] > and click [Login] to your Ivorey
Community where you would like to import your Skool posts and members to
Once you're inside of your Ivorey
Community, click on [Settings] and then click on [Import] to access the Skool Import Tool
In a separate tab, navigate to your Skool Group and create a member profile: This must include your name, email address and a password
*Note: Do not use existing credentials, create a new member profile
Head back to your previous tab with the Skool Importer inside of Ivorey
and now enter your Skool Member Credentials in the relevant blocks. This will include:
Skool Group URL: Enter your Skool group's URL
Email ID: Enter the email address you created for your Skool member profile
Password: Enter the password you created for your Skool member profile
The system will then generate a .CSV file that includes:
profileSlug
firstName
lastName
email (may be missing for some members)
Download the CSV and fill in any missing email addresses:
Use "Refresh user list" if new members were added in the meantime
Do not change the profile slug in the file
Upload Completed CSV: To do this click [Select File] and upload your updated CSV. The system will:
Automatically import valid members
Display a count of successful and failed imports
Success example:
“7 members added successfully!”
Error example:
“2 members could not be added due to missing email addresses.”
Click [Try Again] after fixing issues in the CSV
Once member import is successful:
The system will prompt you to import community posts
Track the post import progress in real time
Posts are tied to their respective members, so accurate member data ensures smooth migration
Example:
“10 posts imported - 3% complete…”
Yes! Just fix the CSV and click [Try Again]
Don't do it - the system uses that to identify members. Changing it can break the import
No. Posts are tied to member IDs, so only those successfully imported will have their posts brought over
There is no specific limit to the number of members or posts you can import. However, larger groups may take longer to process
Yes, members are automatically notified of the import through email and are provided with access details. However, it’s recommended to inform them beforehand about the migration to avoid confusion
While the import process is not reversible, you can manually remove members and posts if needed after the import
Yes. After the import, members will find themselves in the same community space with all previous interactions and posts intact
