In this guide, you’ll learn how to connect ClickUp to your account and set up essential workflow actions, including:
Creating a ClickUp task

You’ll first connect your ClickUp account before you'll be able to use any ClickUp actions inside a workflow. Follow the steps below to connect your ClickUp account to Ivorey
:
Navigate to [Settings] in your account sidebar
Click [Integrations]
Select ClickUp from the available integrations
Click [Connect]
Log into your ClickUp workspace when prompted
Approve the permission request
Once connected, return to your workflows to begin using ClickUp actions
WorkflowYou can automatically create tasks in ClickUp when a workflow is triggered. For example when a form is submitted, when a pipeline stage changes, or when a tag is added. To do this, follow the steps below:
Go to [Workflows] in your left dashboard inside Ivorey
Open the workflow where you want to create a ClickUp task
Click [+ Add Action]
Search for ClickUp
Select [Create Task]
Choose your Workspace, Space, Folder, and List
Enter the name of the task you want to create
(Optional) Assign the task to a user
(Optional) Add a task description or custom fields
Save your action
This action is useful when you want to update the status or details of a task that was previously created, either manually or through another workflow.
Open your workflow or create a new one
Click [+ Add Action]
Search for ClickUp and choose [Update Task]
Select your Workspace, Space, Folder, and List
Choose which Task ID to update
You can map a field dynamically if the Task ID is stored on the contact
Choose the fields you want to update, such as:
Task name
Status
Assignee
Custom values
Save your action
You can automatically add comments to a ClickUp task when key events occur in your workflow, such as a stage update, payment, new appointment booking, or a manual trigger.
Open your workflow
Click [+ Add Action]
Search for ClickUp and select [Add Comment To Task]
Choose the Workspace, Space, Folder, and List
Enter the Task ID you want to comment on
Type the comment you want to send. You can include dynamic contact fields such as name, email, phone, tags, and more
Save your action
No, you can use the integration with both free and paid ClickUp accounts. Just keep in mind that some ClickUp features, like time tracking or custom fields, may only be available on their paid plans.
Yes. As long as you have access to workflows and integrations in your account, you’ll be able to connect ClickUp.
There isn’t a limit on how many workflows you can create. The only restrictions you may experience would be related to ClickUp’s own API usage limits.
