Before You Dive In

This article is one step from our Master Help Guide: All About Social Scheduling. We recommend starting with the visual walkthrough video and examples inside the Master Help Guide before diving into the technical setup below.

Each Master Help Guide acts as your project plan - teaching you the feature, laying out the steps in the right order, and linking to every resource you’ll need along the way.

This guide is perfect if you're looking to:

  • Connect your social media accounts to Ivorey™

Important note: Ivorey™ supports connecting multiple social accounts for managing your own business and personal brand. It’s not designed for managing social media on behalf of external clients, as all connected accounts and DMs live inside one shared workspace. Adding clients as members can expose sensitive business data. Features like post approvals are intended for internal collaboration only, such as reviewing content created by your own team.

Connecting Your Social Accounts

Connecting your social accounts inside of Ivorey allows you to post across multiple channels, engage directly with your audience and assess statistics all in one place.

  1. From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to [Marketing] > then along the top menu bar then click [Social Planner]

  2. Click [Settings] > then click [+ Connect Social] and choose the social media platforms you'd like to connect (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, your Community etc.)

  3. Authenticate Your Accounts > Follow the on-screen prompts to log in and authorise each platform. Make sure you’re logged into the correct account before connecting

If you connect your Community to the Social Planner, please note: Any time a new community channel is created or changes are made (including adding new admins or adjusting author permissions), it’s important to refresh the connection

To do this, please go to [Marketing] > [Social Planner] > [Settings] > [Communities], and click the [Refresh] button next to the community group

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add my Facebook group to the social media planner?

Unfortunately Meta discontinued the ability to integrate Facebook Groups with third party scheduling platforms on April 22, 2024. This means you can no longer use third-party apps to post to your group automatically.

How to stop Instagram messages from being added as contacts?

Currently, any new Instagram conversation will automatically create a contact in the CRM, even if details like name or email are missing. Unfortunately, there isn’t a native way to stop this behaviour, as it is tied to how the integration with Instagram works.

How do I turn off notifications in Ivorey for connected social media messages?

To turn off the notifications from your Instagram and Facebook, you will just need to navigate to [Settings] > select [Integrations] > then click on the [Settings] button under the FB and IG accounts and toggle off 'Sync DM Messages for all accounts'

Can I connect multiple Instagram accounts to the social planner?

You can connect multiple Instagram accounts to the social media scheduler. Ensure both accounts are business profiles linked to a Facebook business page. They can be connected to the same Facebook page if needed.
