This guide provides a clear, step-by-step process for migrating your courses from your current platform to Ivorey
. It is designed to remove guesswork and ensure your migration is completed in the correct order, so your courses run smoothly from day one.
This guide is perfect if you want to:
Migrate from Kajabi, Skool, Mighty Networks, Thinkific, or other course platforms
Cancel your previous course platform subscription once your courses are fully set up in Ivorey
Before migrating anything, collate all materials on your previous platform, such as your courses, branding, videos, images, text, quizzes, certificates, attachments and the names of all modules and lessons.
As a best practice, we recommend saving your core materials (videos, scripts, workbooks, slide decks, etc.) in your own independent organised filing system. This way, your intellectual property remains safely stored in your own archive, and your courses in Ivorey
become the distribution layer rather than the sole place your assets exist.
Done means:
All course materials have been saved and stored in organised folders
Once the above is done, go ahead and progress to Step 2.
If you're coming from Kajabi specifically, you can consider using the importer tool to transfer most of your course content across directly.
Please refer to our Kajabi Course Importer guide for the step-by-step instructions to import your Kajabi courses. For anything you’ll need to manually re-upload or recreate, and to customise the design of your course inside Ivorey
- this will be covered in the upcoming steps.
Now you will need to create your course offers, which will allow you to set the pricing and payment structure for each course you’ve imported. Please refer to our Create a New Offer guide for the step-by-step instructions.
Done means:
All Kajabi courses are successfully imported into Ivorey
Your course offers are set up and connected to your courses
Once the above is done, go ahead and progress to Step 3.
If you're not coming from Kajabi (or you don’t meet the Kajabi Course Importer requirements), it’s now time to re-create your courses in Ivorey
. Please follow the steps in our Master Help Guide on Courses to get this done.
Done means:
All courses are completely set up and designed inside Ivorey
All other setup items are completed
You have placed a test purchase to confirm that everything is working correctly
Once the above is done, go ahead and progress to Step 4.
Now it's time to export your contacts or student list from your existing platform. If your existing students/members aren't already tagged, we recommend adding a tag to ensure you can easily identify which courses they have access to and automate actions later. An example tag for each of your students could be “purchased: course name”.
Visit our Import Contacts and Tags guide for step-by-step instructions to do this.
Done means:
All contacts are imported into Ivorey
Tags are attached to the correct contacts
Once the above is done, go ahead and progress to Step 5.
Now it’s time to bring your existing students/members across, which has two different pathways. Depending on your current setup, your subscription payments will either continue running as normal through your payment processor (e.g. Stripe or PayPal), or you will need to resubscribe your students/members through your Ivorey
checkout link.
Please refer to our Subscription Migration guide for the details.
Done means:
All existing members now have access to your new courses
Once the above is done, go ahead and progress to Step 6.
Once all steps above are complete, and your courses are fully operational inside Ivorey
, you can go ahead and cancel your subscription.
Congratulations, your migration is complete!
