Brand boards allow you to save your brand’s design assets, such as your logos, fonts and colour palette, and then easily use them across the assets you create in Ivorey™. You can also create a brand voice, which captures your tone, values and messaging so the AI tools across Ivorey™ can generate content that sounds like you.
This guide is perfect if you want to:
Easily keep your branding consistent across everything you build inside Ivorey™
Ensure your AI-generated content matches your brand tone and messaging
Your brand board is made up of two parts: a design kit for your visual assets, and a brand voice for your tone and messaging. Set these up once and they'll be available across Ivorey™ whenever you're building, creating content, or using AI tools.
A design kit is where you store your logos, colours, and fonts - the visual building blocks of your brand. Once saved, these are available to pull into any asset you build inside Ivorey™, so your branding stays consistent without starting from scratch each time. You can import a kit automatically from your website, start from a template, or build one from scratch.
From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to Marketing > then [Brand Boards]
Click [+ Add Design Kit] > and choose how you would like to create your design kit:
Enter a website or landing page URL, to generate a kit automatically from your existing brand presence > and click the [Import Brand Kit] button
Choose a template to use as a starting point
Select [Start from blank]
Upload your logo. We suggest one dark and light version, and to ensure they have transparent backgrounds, so you can use them across a variety of assets
Go to the [Colors] tab, on the left-hand sidebar, and create your own colour palette
Go to the [Typography] tab, and add up to 5 fonts. You can choose out of thousands of Google fonts
Select [Save Board] and repeat for as many brand boards as you like
Unlike your design kit colours, global colours are two-way synced, so when you update a saved custom colour here, every design using it updates automatically. Custom global fonts are coming soon.
From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to Marketing > then [Brand Boards] > and click the [Global Settings] button, in the top right corner
On the Custom colors tab, click [+ Add] > then [Add New]
Enter a name for your colour (e.g. Primary, Accent or Background) > then add a HEX or RGB value, or pick a colour using the colour picker
Click [Save]
Note: Your global colours will only appear in the colour picker inside the builders once you have saved at least one colour.
To edit or rename a colour, click the ✏ pencil icon
To remove a colour, click the 🗑 trash icon
Note: Deleting a colour removes it from the colour pickers, and any designs that used it may change to reflect the removal, so remove colours with care.
To bring in colours you already store as custom values, click [+ Add] > then [Import] > select the custom values that represent colours > and click [Import]
Note: Refer to our Custom Values guide for the detailed steps to create a custom value.
A brand voice captures your tone, values and messaging in one place, so your team or the AI tools across Ivorey™ can generate content that sounds like you. You can build it from scratch, or have it generated for you from your website or a short description.
From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to Marketing > then [Brand Boards] > and select the [Brand Voice] tab
Click [+ Add Brand Voice] > and choose how you would like to create your brand voice:
Start from Scratch: Fill in the form with your business information, brand values, tone and style, and what you want people to do (your calls to action)
Text or URL: Enter a name for your brand voice > then add either a link to a page that reflects your brand, or a 50 to 100 word description of your brand > your tone, values and messaging will be generated for you
Review the details and refine anything you would like to adjust > then click [Save Brand Voice]
Note: If you used the Text or URL option, take a moment to read through the generated content and tweak it so it reflects your brand accurately before saving.
Click the [⋮] three dots next to a saved brand voice:
Select [Set as default] to set a brand voice as your default
Select [Edit] to update your details at any time
You can add up to 2 logos, 10 colours, and 5 fonts in a single design kit. You can create multiple kits if you would like, then select which is your main design kit by clicking the [Set as default] button.
No problem! You can create multiple design kits, for example you may have your main kit, plus individual ones for each of your offers which may have their own distinct logos, colours and fonts.
Changing the colours in the brand board will not automatically update the colours in existing emails or funnels. The brand board's colour section is used for quick access, and will be displayed in the colour selector for future use. Existing designs and content will remain unchanged, and you will need to manually update each element to your branding colours.
If you want to be able to automatically change colours across designs, make use of global colours instead. Be sure to select the global colour to use in your design, and whenever this colour is adjusted it will be adjusted in your design.
Yes, you can rename the colours or fonts you add to your brand board, for easier reference.
