This guide is perfect if you want to:

  • Trigger a workflow when someone submits your survey

  • Automatically tag contacts and create internal tasks or notifications for your team, after a survey submission

  • Send a confirmation email or freebie to contacts as part of your post-submission journey


How to Set Up Workflows for Surveys

In Workflows, you can automate what happens after someone submits a survey, such as notifying your team of new submissions, creating an internal review task, or sending a confirmation email or freebie to the contact.

Click here for the written steps

  1. From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to Workflows > click the [+ Create Workflow] button, at the top right of your screen > select [+ Start from Scratch] > and name your workflow (e.g. Survey Submitted: Your Survey Name), by clicking the ✏️ pencil icon, at the top of your screen

  2. Add the Trigger: [Survey Submitted] > click [Add Filters] > select [Survey is] > select your customised survey > then click [Save Trigger]

  3. Add the Action: [Add Tag] > and either select a tag or create a new tag, that you want to be added to the contact profile when they submit a survey (e.g. submitted: your survey name) > then click [Save Action]

  4. Continue to build out your workflow, to create the client journey and automations you want. Some actions you may want to add:

    1. Send Internal Notification - to notify yourself or your team when someone submits a survey

    2. Add Task - to create a task for you or your team, to review the submission and take any relevant post-submission actions

    3. Send Email - to send a confirmation email to your contact when they submit your survey

  5. Once you have finished building your workflow, toggle it to [Publish], at the top right of your screen > and then click [Save]

  6. Complete a test survey submission to test if your workflow fired correctly > check the [Execution Logs] tab to see if there were any errors
