Getting Started With Ivorey™ Social Planner

Ivorey’s Social Planner lets you schedule and manage posts across all your key platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and even your own Ivorey™ communities. It’s designed to make staying consistent feel easy, so you can build and maintain a strong online presence.

How To Setup your Social Planner: A Step-By-Step Guide

Below is a step-by-step guide to connect your socials platforms, schedule posts and manage your content - just follow along with each drop-down to get started!


STEP 1: Connect Your Social Accounts

  1. From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to [Marketing] > then along the top menu bar then click [Social Planner]

  2. Click [Settings] > then click [+ Connect Social] and choose the social media platforms you'd like to connect (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest Your Community etc.)

  3. Authenticate Your Accounts > Follow the on-screen prompts to log in and authorise each platform. Make sure you’re logged into the correct account before connecting.


STEP 2: Create and Schedule Your Posts

  1. From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to [Marketing] > then along the top menu bar then click [Social Planner]

  2. Click [+ New Post] > then click [+ Create New Post]

  3. Under the [Post to] dropdown, select the social media accounts you'd like to post to (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

  4. Type (or paste) your caption. Use formatting tools like bold, italics, emojis, and preview how it’ll look before publishing.

  5. Upload your image or video. Want to post a carousel? Just select multiple images and Ivorey will automatically format them as a swipe-able post on Instagram.

  6. Click [#] to use saved hashtag groups (called “hashtag banks”) or type in new ones. You can include hashtags in your caption or as a first comment.

  7. Select if this is a Feed post, Reel, or Story.

  8. If you want to tag a collaborator on Instagram, enter their handle to invite them.

  9. Publish, Submit or Schedule Your Post

    1. Click Post Now to publish immediately

    2. Or choose a date and time to schedule the post
      You can also set this post to repeat on a regular schedule (e.g. every Tuesday at 10AM).

    3. If you're working with a team, you can submit the post for internal approval.

CONGRATULATIONS! Your first post is scheduled - and you’re now ready to show up consistently, stay visible, and keep your social media running on autopilot!


STEP 3: Managing Your Content

  1. From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to [Marketing] > then along the top menu bar then click [Social Planner]

  2. Choose your View toggle between List View or Calendar View to manage your content calendar

  3. Manage content by clicking the 3 dots next to any post to:

    • Preview it (if already published, it opens on the actual platform)

    • Edit it directly and save changes

    • Clone the post (it will save as a draft so you can reuse it)

    • Delete the post if it’s no longer needed

  4. Click the Filter icon to narrow your content view by:

    • Post type (Recurring, Review, Scheduled, etc.)

    • Created by

    • Approval status

    • Category (if you’ve set up content categories

    • Status (Draft, In Review, Published, etc.)

  5. Save Custom Views (Optional)

    • Posts waiting for your approval

    • Posts by specific team members

    • Content grouped by campaign or category

TIP: The Calendar View gives you a visual layout of what’s published, scheduled, or in draft - so it’s easy to see what’s going live and when.


Frequently Asked Questions about Social Media Scheduling

Can I connect more than one Instagram account?

Yes! You can connect multiple Instagram accounts to Ivorey repeat Step 1 to add additional Accounts. Note this feature will integrate your DMs with the unified inbox and is best for businesses that have a business account and personal brand. It's not intended for Social Media Management.

Can I edit a post after it’s scheduled?

Absolutely. Navigate to the content calendar, click the post, and make the necessary edits.

Can I post to Instagram, Facebook and other platforms all at the same time?

Yes! You can write one post in Ivorey and share it across all your connected platforms at once. If you want to tweak the wording or images for each platform, just toggle [Customise for Each Platform] ON and make your edits before scheduling.

What happens if a post fails to publish?

Navigate to the content calendar, select the post, and review the error, make the necessary edits and repost. Common issues include expired permissions or login credentials. Note: Instagram Stories can't be scheduled to a Creator account, you must have a Instagram Business account to schedule Instagram Story posts in Ivorey™.

Can I create a link-in-bio page to promote on my socials?

Yes! Use one of Ivorey’s premium Link-In-Bio Website Templates or create your own branded landing page with links to your offers, blog, lead magnets, and more all in one place. You can find our templates under Websites > Site Pages > Template Library

Can I save Hashtags?

To create saved hashtag groups in Ivorey's Social Planner, create a group by clicking the "#" icon, then add a name and your desired hashtags, saving the group for later use.

To apply a saved Hashtag groups to your Posts:

  • When creating a new social post, click the "#" icon again.

  • You'll see a list of saved hashtag groups. Choose the one you want to use.

  • The hashtags from the selected group will be automatically added to your post

How can I create an auto-responder / keyword bot to reply to comments with a DM?

You can set up a keyword-based automation using Workflows. For example, when someone comments “YES” on your post, you can trigger a workflow that sends them a personalised DM or lead magnet link automatically. Click here to setup a Social Media Keyword Bot using Workflows.

Can I add my facebook group to the social media planner?

Unfortunately Meta discontinued the ability to integrate Facebook Groups with third party scheduling platforms on April 22, 2024. This means you can no longer use third-party apps to post to your group automatically.
