Set Up Your Business Information

Learn all about setting up your business information and access our step-by-step instructions, FAQs, and everything you need to know!

Before You Dive In

Your business settings determine key aspects in your account, like your currency, location and time zone. Let's customise them to suit your business before you dive into setting up the rest of your account.

This guide is perfect if you want to:

  • Set up your business name, logo, and contact details so they display correctly across Ivorey™

  • Make sure invoices and proposals reflect your official business address and registration details

  • Set your timezone and platform language for accurate scheduling and a smoother day-to-day experience

  • Configure contact settings like duplicate detection and email compliance to keep your account running cleanly

Customise Your Business Profile Settings

Your business profile holds the core information about your business, which quietly powers everything from invoices to automated emails to various registrations and connections. It's worth taking a few minutes to fill this out properly before moving on to the rest of your setup.

Step 1: Customise Your General Information

Your General Information feeds into custom fields, invoices, and emails across Ivorey™, so it's important to set these details from the start.

Click here for the written steps
  1. From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to Settings > and you will land on the Business tab, in the Settings menu

  2. In the General Information window, click the [Upload] button, to upload your Business Logo

  3. Set your Friendly Business Name - this will be the name of your Ivorey™ account (please don’t set this to “Ivorey” but rather your name, or business name) > and your official Legal Business Name - this should match what is used on your business registration documents

  4. Add your Business Email and Phone Number

  5. (optional) Create a Branded Domain - refer to our Set Up a Branded Domain guide to learn more

  6. Enter the URL for your Business Website (if you have one) > select your Business Niche (optional), from the drop-down, or type one in > and set the Business Currency for your account (important)

  7. When you’re done, click the [Update Information] button, at the bottom of the window

Note: At the top of the General Information window, you can find your Location ID - this is a unique code for your Ivorey™ account, which you can use when creating API keys and more.

Step 2: Add Your Location

Your location details affect things like invoicing and scheduling, so make sure these match your official business information.

Click here for the written steps
  1. In the Business Physical Address window, on the right-hand side, add your business's physical Street Address, which will appear on invoices and proposals - this should match what is used on your business registration documents

  2. Select your Country from the drop-down - this determines the default currency used in checkouts, but will be overridden by the Currency setting in the General Information window

  3. Select your Time Zone from the drop-down, to ensure accurate scheduling and calendar settings

  4. Select the Platform Language of your preference, from the drop-down - this determines the language for your Ivorey™ account backend and for checkout pages seen by your clients (invoices, payment links, subscriptions, forms and course purchases)

  5. Select your preferred Outbound communication language for custom values - this determines the language for custom values (used in automated emails and notifications)

Note: Refer to our Custom Values guide to learn more.

  6. When you’re done, click the [Update] button, at the bottom of the window

Step 3: Additional Information

This section covers your business type, industry, and registration details which used to keep your account information accurate and compliant.

Click here for the written steps
  1. In the Business Information window, on the left-hand side, select your Business Type (e.g. Corporation, Non-profit, etc.) > and your Business Industry (e.g. Online, Education, etc.) from the drop-downs

  2. Select your Business Registration ID Type, from the drop-down > and enter your Business Registration Number (or tick the box if your business is unregistered)

  3. Select the applicable Business Regions of Operations for your business (you can select multiple)

  4. When you’re done, click the [Update Information] button, at the bottom of the window

Note: These details should all match what is used on your business registration documents.

  5. (optional) If your business has an authorised representative (whether that is you or someone else), please fill in the details in the Authorized Representative window, on the right-hand side:

    1. The representative’s First and Last Name > and Email address

    2. Select their Job Position > and enter the Phone Number

    3. Click the [Update Information] button, at the bottom of the window

Step 4: General and Contact Settings

These settings control how Ivorey™ manages your contacts behind the scenes, from duplicate contacts to compliance, to keep your account running smoothly.

Click here for the written steps
  1. In the General window, on the right-hand side, check the boxes for the settings you want to enable:

    1. Merge Facebook contacts from Messenger conversations - automatically merge contacts created from Facebook Messenger conversations with matching contact names

    2. Merge Facebook contacts from Facebook Lead Form submissions - automatically merge contacts created from Facebook Lead Form submissions with matching contact names

    3. Disable Contact Timezone - we recommend leaving this enabled (unchecked) if you work with clients in other timezones (this affects time settings for emails, notifications and other automations which you may want tailored to your client’s time)

    4. Bot Detection - this helps prevent falsely inflated statistics and automation triggers from bots opening or clicking emails

    5. Verify Email Address - verify an email address before the first email is sent to any new email address in your account, and every 3 months thereafter (recommended to prevent high email bounce rates)

Note: This does come at an additional fee, please refer to our Billing and Inclusions guide for the breakdown.

    6. Make Email Compliant - automatically add an unsubscribe link to the bottom of all emails > click [Customize] to edit the unsubscribe message

  2. In the Contact Deduplication Preferences window, on the right-hand side, toggle ON to Allow Duplicate Contact or if you leave it toggled OFF:

    1. Choose your preference for how to Find existing contacts from the drop-down, either by Email or Phone

    2. Then select the other option, or None, under the Second preference drop-down

  3. (optional) To configure Missed Call Textback Settings, click the [Go to Missed Call Textback Settings] button
