Create and Schedule Your Social Posts

Now that you've connected your social accounts inside of Ivorey, this will walk you through scheduling your first post!

Click here for the written steps

  1. From the Ivorey™ main menu, go to [Marketing] > then along the top menu bar then click [Social Planner]

  2. Click [+ New Post] > then click [+ Create New Post]

  3. Under the [Post to] dropdown, select the social media accounts you'd like to post to (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

  4. Type (or paste) your caption. Use formatting tools like bold, italics, emojis, and preview how it’ll look before publishing.

  5. Upload your image or video. Want to post a carousel? Just select multiple images and Ivorey will automatically format them as a swipe-able post on Instagram.

  6. Click [#] to use saved hashtag groups (called “hashtag banks”) or type in new ones. You can include hashtags in your caption or as a first comment.

  7. Select if this is a Feed post, Reel, or Story.

  8. If you want to tag a collaborator on Instagram, enter their handle to invite them.

  9. Publish, Submit or Schedule Your Post

    1. Click Post Now to publish immediately

    2. Or choose a date and time to schedule the post
      You can also set this post to repeat on a regular schedule (e.g. every Tuesday at 10AM).

    3. If you're working with a team, you can submit the post for internal approval.

CONGRATULATIONS! Your first post is scheduled - and you’re now ready to show up consistently, stay visible, and keep your social media running on autopilot!

Frequently Asked Questions about Social Media Scheduling

Can I edit a post after it's scheduled?

Absolutely. Navigate to the content calendar, click the post, and make the necessary edits.

Can I post to Instagram, Facebook and other Platforms at the same time?

Yes! You can write one post in Ivorey and share it across all your connected platforms at once. If you want to tweak the wording or images for each platform, just toggle [Customise for Each Platform] ON and make your edits before scheduling.

What happens if a post fails to publish?

Navigate to the content calendar, select the post, and review the error, make the necessary edits and repost. Common issues include expired permissions or login credentials. Note: Instagram Stories can't be scheduled to a Creator account, you must have a Instagram Business account to schedule Instagram Story posts in Ivorey™.

Can I save hashtags?

To create saved hashtag groups in Ivorey's Social Planner, create a group by clicking the "#" icon, then add a name and your desired hashtags, saving the group for later use.

To apply a saved Hashtag groups to your Posts:

  • When creating a new social post, click the "#" icon again.

  • You'll see a list of saved hashtag groups. Choose the one you want to use.

  • The hashtags from the selected group will be automatically added to your post
