This guide provides a clear, step-by-step process for migrating your blog from your current platform to Ivorey
. It is designed to remove guesswork and ensure your blog migration is completed in the correct order, so you can switch over to your new Ivorey
blog seamlessly.
This guide is perfect if you want to:
Migrate your blog from platforms like WordPress, Hubspot, Wix, etc.
Transfer your blog posts so your content continues working for your business
Preserve your blog structure, categories, and SEO
Cancel your previous website or blogging platform once your blog is fully running in Ivorey

Before migrating your blog posts, you'll first need to create the blog itself inside Ivorey
.
Setting up your blog structure ahead of time ensures your posts have a destination when they are recreated or imported. Visit our Create and Customise a Blog guide for step-by-step instructions to do this.
Done means:
Your blog site has been created and fully customised
Once the above is done, go ahead and progress to Step 2.
There are 3 options for importing your blog posts into Ivorey. Please refer to our Import Blog Posts Guide for the detailed steps.
Done means:
All blog posts have been successfully migrated to Ivorey
Once the above is done, go ahead and progress to Step 3.
It’s important to note that SEO rankings and authority do not automatically transfer simply by importing your content. To help preserve your search rankings and existing traffic, we recommend setting up 301 redirects and keeping the same domain and URL structure wherever possible.
We also recommend that each blog post have a relevant title, URL slug, Meta description, featured image, and internal links within your content.
Please refer to our Create a Blog Post guide for the detailed steps on how to add these to your blog posts.
Done means:
Blog post details such as title, URL slug, category, and author are updated
301 redirects have been set up
Once the above is done, go ahead and progress to Step 4.
Now that your blog posts have been recreated and reviewed, you're ready to publish your blog. Before cancelling your previous platform, it's important to confirm that everything is working correctly and your blog is fully live.
Once you’re confident everything is running smoothly, you can safely cancel your previous CMS platform.
Congratulations, your migration is complete
