Before you steam ahead setting up your events, here's some good-to-know information that will ensure you understand how Events work in Ivorey™ and whether an event is the right fit for your needs.
Ivorey™ Events give you one place to create, promote, and manage registrations for your events. You can sell tickets or collect free RSVPs, build branded event pages, and check attendees in for in-person events, all from the same account where your contacts, payments, and marketing live.
Every event starts with two key choices:
Event type - Ticketed (sell free and/or paid tickets through a checkout) or RSVP (free registration, with no payment step)
Location - In-person (with a map and directions on your event page) or Online (with a join link)
From there, you can add ticket tiers and coupon codes, an event schedule for different sessions, speakers, automated attendee notifications, and workflows to tag your attendees in the CRM. Everyone who registers is added to your Contacts and linked to their registration, so their details are ready for future marketing and event invitations.
Events are best suited to public-facing experiences that need registration, tickets, a schedule, speakers, attendee tracking, or check-in. For example:
Paid workshops and masterclasses, online or in-person, with limited seats
Retreats and in-person wellness days, with QR code check-in at the door
Conferences with multiple speakers, sessions, and VIP ticket tiers
Free webinars, community meet-ups, and open days, using RSVP registration
Events pair well with your Ivorey™ website, funnels, and blog posts, where you can embed your event page so people can view your event details and register in one place.

Manage registrations and attendees for your event
Check attendees into your event (for in-person events)
Events are designed for standalone, public-facing events that need their own event page, registrations, tickets, or check-in. Community Calendar Events are hosted inside your Ivorey™ communities, for your community members only. Refer to our Community Calendar Events guide to set those up.
If you'd prefer people to book a group session the same way they book an appointment (e.g. a recurring class), a booking calendar may be a better fit. Visit ourCalendars Master Guide to compare calendar types.
Ticket payments are processed through your connected payment processor (e.g. Stripe), and only the standard processing fees from that payment processor apply. Payouts from your ticket sales follow the payout schedule set in your payment processor account.
Deleting an event removes it permanently, including all of its registrations, and it can’t be restored. The contacts who registered stay in your CRM under Contacts, along with any tags or other details added to their contact record, so you can still reach out to them for future events.
Deleting an event doesn’t refund your attendees automatically, so process any refunds from your event’s Registrations tab before you delete it.
