Missing Video Call Link

Before You Dive In

Certain calendars in Ivorey™ will automatically generate unique call links when an appointment is booked, for Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams, depending on which provider is connected and selected in settings.

This guide is perfect if you want to:

  • Understand why your appointments aren't generating call links automatically

  • Understand which calendar types support Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams links

  • Troubleshoot your settings, to ensure that video conferencing links are added to your appointments

How to Fix Missing Video Call Links

You might find that new appointments on your Ivorey™ calendar are not automatically generating a video call link, in the appointment details or confirmation emails. Please follow the steps below to ensure that your calendar is set up correctly, to allow links to be generated.

Step 1: Integrate Your Video Call Provider

First, you need to ensure that your video meeting provider is connected. Without this connection, video call links can’t be automatically generated. Please refer to our Calendar Integrations guide for the detailed steps.

Note: integrating your Google or Outlook calendar does not automatically connect Meet or Teams - they must be connected separately under the Video Conferencing tab, as per the steps linked above.

Step 2: Check Your Calendar Type

Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams links are automatically generated for only the following calendar types:

  • Personal Booking Calendar

  • Round Robin Calendar

  • Collective Booking Calendar

  • Service Booking Calendar

Please refer to our Choosing Your Calendar Type guide to learn more about the different calendars.

Note: video conferencing links are only supported by Meetings Calendars. If you’re using a Services Calendar, links won’t be added because this calendar type is designed for in-person appointments. Consider switching to a compatible calendar type if you need virtual meetings.

Step 3: Verify Your Calendar's Meeting Location Settings

Ensure your preferred video meeting provider is selected as the meeting location in your calendar settings. Please refer to our Create a New Calendar guide for the detailed steps.
