Integrate with Shippo

Before You Dive In

The Shippo integration lets you connect real-time shipping rates and fulfilment capabilities to your online store setup, so you can streamline shipping label generation, offer live carrier rates at checkout, and manage delivery logistics without switching between tools.

This guide is perfect if you want to:

  • Connect Shippo’s live shipping rates to your online store

  • Generate shipping labels and manage shipment details from your platform

  • Offer real-time carrier options at checkout

  • Centralise and automate your e-commerce shipping workflow

  • Reduce manual shipping tasks and improve delivery transparency

Step 1: Create the Live Token in Shippo

Follow the below steps to generate the live token in Shippo:

  1. Login to your Shippo account
    ​

  2. Click on the [Settings] gear icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen > scroll down on the left to Advanced and click on [API] > The in the center of your screen click the [Generate Token] button

  3. Copy the live token by clicking on the [copy icon] on the right:

Step 2: Set Up Your Package Template and Shipping Options in Shippo

Below are the written steps to follow to set up the package template and shipping options in Shippo:

  1. Set up the package template
    ​

    1. Inside Settings > go to the Shipping section > click on [Rates at checkout]
      ​

    2. Here you'll set up the Sender Address, Packaging Template and the Weight
      ​

    3. Click [Add an address] > then click [edit] > and add your address > once complete click the [Apply] button in the bottom right-hand corner
      ​

    4. Next, click on [Create a package] > then click [+ Create Package Template]

    5. At the top click the [Custom Dimensions] dropdown menu. Store owners can either add a custom dimensions or choose a standard carrier provided parcel dimension:

      If standard carrier provided parcel is chosen, package weights need to be set here:
      ​


      If the current template needs to be set as default, don't forget to tick the checkbox here:
      ​

    6. Then click [Save Template]
      ​

  2. Add and Set Up a Shipping Option
    ​

    1. Inside Settings > go to the Shipping section > click on [Rates at checkout] > and click on [Add Shipping Option] and give it a name and description
      ​

    2. Select option type from the dropdown menu (live rate, flat rate or free shipping)
      ​

    3. Then click on service from the dropdown menu and select which carrier you would like to choose (you can select more than one to share the comparison)
      ​

    4. Next you can add a markup or discount if you choose and a fallback price and currency incase the estimate cannot be calculated
      ​


      ​Note: You can earn by charging markup fees on delivery. This will be added on top of live rate charges. You can either choose a percentage based or fixed markup.
      ​
      A fallback delivery fee value can be defined if live rates aren't fetched. Fallback price is set to $10 by default.
      ​

    5. Click [Save]
      ​

    6. Now your first shipping option has now been created!

Step 3: Set Up Your Shipping Origin Inside Shippo

Below are the written steps to set up the Shipping Origin in Shippo

  1. Sender & Return address can be set up by going to Settings > Address book > Sender & return > click [+ New address]

  2. Add the complete address and select default sender and return address (if needed):

  3. Click [Apply]

Step 4: Set Up Your Shipping Origin Inside Ivorey™

Below are the written steps to set up your Origin Settings inside your store. This address will be used as the sender’s address when orders are created in Shippo.

Note: It should be a valid address else there will be error in Shippo prohibiting from purchasing Shipping labels.

  1. To set up your shipping origin, from the Ivorey™ main menu, go to Payments > then along the top right-hand corner, click on [Settings]

  2. From the list of tabs on the left, click on [Shipping Origin]
    ​

  3. Add the required details and click [Save]
    ​
    ​Note: This information will be sent to your Shippo account automatically. If this is not set up, the default address in Shippo's account will be used

Step 5: Install the Shippo App Inside Ivorey™

Below are the written steps to install the Shippo App from the Marketplace inside Ivorey™.

  1. To do install the Shippo app, from the Ivorey™ main menu, go to Marketplace > and search for Shippo
    ​

  2. Click on the app > in the top right-hand corner click the [Install] button > read through the permissions and click on the [Allow & Install] button
    ​

  3. Once installed, add the Live token (refer to step 1) to continue

Step 6: Enter the Shippo Live Token

  1. Enter the live token that was generated in Step 1 and click [Continue]


    ​Note: If you want to disconnect the live token, click on [disconnect]
    ​

  2. Enable live rates in shipping by ticking the Enable Live Shipping box:

    Note: Shipping rates can be enabled and disabled by ticking and unticking the checkbox respectively.

  3. Click [Save]


    ​Note: If any information is missing from setting up package template, Shipping origin and Shipping options in Shippo, the following error will pop up:
