We’re so grateful you’ve been part of the Ivorey™ journey. If you're ready to move on and take your domain with you, we want to make the process stress-free.

Whether you're setting up your next chapter or simply restructuring your tech stack, this guide walks you through how to transfer your domain from Ivorey’s Cloudflare account into your own personal Cloudflare account.

Note: Ivorey domains are managed through Cloudflare, so this process is simply shifting ownership from our Cloudflare environment to yours.

What You'll Need First

Before we begin, make sure you’ve set up a Cloudflare account of your own - this is where your domain will live moving forward. You’ll need access to this account during the process.

STEP 1: Add Your Domain to Your New Cloudflare Account

  1. Log in to your Cloudflare account (or create one here).

  2. Once logged in, click + Add a Site.

  3. Enter the domain name you’re transferring out of Ivorey and click Continue.

  4. Choose a plan. (The Free plan is totally fine for most users.)

  5. Cloudflare will scan your existing DNS records - review them carefully: You can find your current DNS records here:

If they look correct, click Continue to Activation. If anything looks off, you can manually add, remove, or update records to match your current configuration.

IMPORTANT: Make sure all DNS records have the proxy status turned OFF (click the orange cloud icon next to each record to turn it grey).

At this point, do not change your nameservers - we’ll handle that during the transfer process.

STEP 2: Send Us Your Cloudflare Account

  1. Once your domain is added and DNS records are in place, we’ll need your Cloudflare Account ID to initiate the transfer. Here’s how to find it:

    1. Go to your Cloudflare dashboard.

    2. Click into the domain you just added.

    3. Look at the URL in your browser - your Account ID is the long string of numbers and letters between /accounts/ and /workers.

Example: If your URL looks like:
    dash.cloudflare.com/accounts/0d2031c4bcda5980204101c44294740c/workers

Then your Account ID is: 0d2031c4bcda5980204101c44294740c

  2. Once you have it, please email it to [email protected] or send it through the chat widget inside your Ivorey dashboard.

STEP 3: We’ll Initiate the Transfer From Our End

After we receive your Account ID and confirm your domain is ready to move, we’ll begin the transfer process from our side. You don’t need to do anything else until you’re notified.

Timing: Once we start the transfer, it typically completes within 48 hours.

Step 4: Accept the Transfer in Your Cloudflare Account

  1. When the transfer is ready, log in to your Cloudflare account to accept it:

    1. Go to Domain Registration in the sidebar.

    2. Click Manage Domains.

    3. Locate the domain being transferred and click Manage.

  2. Approve the transfer.

  3. Once accepted, the domain status will update to Active under your domain list.

Important Note: After the transfer is accepted, you might briefly see a warning that says “Invalid Nameservers” on your domain dashboard.

Don’t panic - this is totally normal! This warning usually resolves itself within 24 hours. No action is required from your end. Just give it a little time and refresh your dashboard later.

Final Note:

Even if you’re wrapping up your time with Ivorey, we want to make sure your systems continue supporting you. If you need help during this transition or want to revisit how Ivorey can support your business down the track - we’ll always be here to welcome you back.
