When to Use a Meetings Calendar
Meetings Calendars are best for online appointments such as sales calls, paid consultations, team meetings, group classes or live events.
Key Features:
Multiple calendar types: Personal, Round Robin, Class, Collective, Events
Auto-generates Zoom or Google Meet links for appointments (based on calendar type)
Distributes bookings by preference, availability, or equal distribution
Syncs with external calendars like Google, Outlook, or iCloud
When to Use a Services Calendar
Please note, this is an entirely different calendar system to the standard Services calendar type inside the Meeting Calendars. When you navigate to Calendars > Calendar Settings > You'll see either Meeting or Service Calendars. This article is regarding the difference between those two.
Services Calendars are best for in-person appointments as they provide more functionality for location, team and payment management.
The most common use case for these calendars are when you want people to book a batch of services back-to-back, for example book a bundle of appointments (lash, hair, brows) at once.
Key Features:
Variations for services (different durations or price points)
Add-ons and upsells at checkout
Coupon code support
Multi-location and staff-specific pricing/hours
Card-on-file payments and multi-service checkout flow
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use both Meetings and Services Calendars?
Can I use both Meetings and Services Calendars?
Yes. Many businesses run both side by side, depending on whether the booking is for a free call/meeting or a paid service. These would be shared as 2 separate links - e.g. you can share a calendar group link for all your online appointments, and then a separate menu for all in-person services. If you need them on the one calendar, you're best to explore if the Meeting Calendar > Service type is a better fit, as they can be grouped together.
