Once your domain is connected to Ivorey™, you can choose which page should display when someone visits your root domain (e.g. yourdomain.com), and set a fallback error page to show if someone lands on a broken or non-existent link.
Step 1: How To Set Your Default Home Page
This is the main page visitors will land on when they enter your domain, either from a web search, link, email, or directly typing it in their browser such as www.
To set this up:
From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to [Settings] > [Domains]
Click [Manage] next to your connected domain
Click the three dots beside your domain and select [Edit]
Under Default Page, choose the page you'd like to display when someone visits your domain (e.g. homepage, landing page, coming soon page)
Click [Save]
Note: Make sure the page you select has been published by navigating to the page and clicking [Publish]
Step 2: How To Set a 404 Error Page
This is the page visitors will see if they land on a broken or incorrect URL.
To create and assign a 404 error page:
Go to [Site Pages] > [Website]
Create a new page or select an existing page to use as your error page
Keep it simple: include a message like "Sorry, this page isn’t available"
Add a Return Home button that links to your homepage
Make sure the page is published
Return to [Settings] > [Domains] > [Manage] next to your domain
Click the three dots, select [Edit], and choose your error page under 404 Error Page
Click [Save]
