The Cookie Consent Banner is the little popup you’ve probably seen on other websites asking if you’re okay with cookies. Cookies are small bits of data that help a website work (and sometimes track things like analytics or ads). Some laws, especially in Europe and the UK, require you to give visitors the choice to accept or reject these cookies.
This feature lets you:
Show that popup on your site or funnel
Let visitors choose which cookies they allow
Stay more compliant with privacy rules (but it doesn’t guarantee full legal compliance)
How to add a cookie consent banner to your Ivorey™ website or funnels
Step 1: Turn the Banner On
Open your funnel or website in the builder.
Go to the page where you want the banner to show.
Click the cookie icon on the top toolbar.
In the settings panel that opens on the right, toggle it ON.
Do this inside all Ivorey websites or funnels you want the banner to show in.
Step 2: Choose Your Buttons
You can decide what choices the banner gives people:
Accept Essential → Only the basic cookies the site needs to work.
Accept All → Everything, including tracking and analytics.
Reject → Only the basic cookies again, no tracking.
Save Preferences → Saves whatever options they chose.
Step 3: Customise the Banner Style
Change colours, fonts, and text to match your brand.
Add your own message and link to your privacy policy.
Edit the button labels so they make sense in your language or tone.
Choose a layout e.g. whether it appears on the top/left/right.
Step 4: Choose Where the Banner Shows
You can show the banner to:
Everyone, everywhere
Only visitors in the EU & UK (where the law requires it)
Specific countries you choose
Step 5: Let Visitors Pick Cookie Types (Optional)
If you want, you can give visitors more control with categories like:
Essential (always on)
Functional (site features like sharing buttons)
Analytics (tracking behaviour)
Advertising (targeted ads)
You’ll need to tell the system which cookies go in which category - more on that below.
Step 6: Finding Out Which Cookies You Use
If you’re not sure what cookies your site uses:
Turn the banner off temporarily.
Use a free tool like CookieServe to scan your site.
See the list it gives you and sort them into the categories above.
Turn your banner back on.
Step 7: Keep It Up to Date
Scan your site every now and then for new cookies.
Make sure descriptions are clear and simple.
Update any changes to your marketing tools (e.g. Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics).
