How to setup Gift Voucher's in Ivorey

This guide will show you how you can offer gift vouchers for your customers to purchase, and how to setup each of the assets to bring it altogether.

PLEASE NOTE: Gift Vouchers are NOT a native feature of Ivorey, but we've created a process and bonus template members can use until this feature becomes available.

This works by:

Setting up a new product in Ivorey at the set prices you want your vouchers to be, then selling the product through a funnel (we've provided a funnel template for this).
After someone purchases, you'll have a workflow that sends you an internal notification and task to create a coupon code and customise their gift voucher (we've provided a Canva template for this).
We've then created an email template that you can use to send out your gift voucher to the purchaser

STEP 1: Customise the Gift Voucher Graphic to your Branding

In this step you are customising the gift voucher graphic to upload to your Funnel/Checkout Page, so you don't need to change any of the details yet. In step STEP 3, we will go through how to update the template when it's time to send your gift voucher to a customer

Click on 'Use Template for New Design'
Customise the template to your brand colours and fonts,
Once you have finished customising the template, download it from Canva to your computer
Upload the Gift Voucher Graphic to your Media Library in Ivorey so it is ready to upload to your Sales Funnel and email template in STEPS 3 and 4 below

Please Note: If you would like to create your own gift voucher template you absolutely can, we just created a template to help make this process feel as seamless as possible.

STEP 2: Create your Gift Voucher Product

The next step is to create your Gift Voucher as a product. Follow the steps below to see how you can add multiple price options for your customers to choose from.

From the left-hand menu of Ivorey™ click on [Payments]
On the top menu bar, click on [Products]
On the top right of your page, click [+ Create Product]
At the top of the page under [Title] add the name of your Product (e.g Gift Voucher)
Under [Media], add the gift voucher image you customised in STEP 1
Because you will be connecting this product to a funnel, you can skip to the [Prices] section, unless you need to update any details relevant to your business
Under the [Prices] section you can add your first price e.g $50
Click [Save] at the top right of your screen, and scroll back down to the [Prices] section, and click [+ Add Another Price]
Continue steps 6 and 7 until you have listed all of the price options you want to offer for your Gift Voucher
Make sure you click [Save] at the top right of your screen when you have added all your price options

STEP 3: Download & Customise your Gift Voucher Funnel

The next step is to create your Gift Voucher Sales Funnel. We have created a simple sales funnel for you that you can download from the Template Library. Follow the steps below to setup your funnel, add your gift voucher product, and connect your domain:

STEP 3.1: Download the Gift Voucher Funnel Template from the Library

From the left-hand menu of Ivorey™ click on [Site Pages]
On the top menu bar, click on [Funnels]
On the top right of your page, click [+ New Funnel]
Select [From Templates] then click [Continue]
Use the search bar at the top of the library to find the 'Gift Voucher Funnel'
Click on the Gift Voucher Funnel, then click [Continue] to download it into your account

STEP 3.2: Add your Gift Voucher Product to the Order Page

Once you have downloaded the Gift Voucher Funnel Template to your Ivorey Account, follow the steps below to add your Gift Voucher Product to your Order Page so your customers can select the price option for the gift voucher at checkout:

From the left-hand menu of Ivorey™ click on [Site Pages]
On the top menu bar, click on [Funnels]
Click on [Gift Voucher Funnel]
Make sure you are on the 'Order Page' step and click on the [Products] tab on the right hand side of your screen
Click on the [+Add Product] button
From the first dropdown menu under [Products], select your Gift Voucher Product
From the second dropdown menu under [Prices], select the first price option for your Gift Voucher
Under [Product Name] you can leave this the same as your product name, or you can add the amount if you would like
Click [Save]
Repeat STEPS 5 to 8 until you have added all your Gift Voucher payment options to the products tab of your funnel

STEP 3.3: Customise your Gift Voucher Funnel Template to your Branding

Now it's time to customise the Gift Voucher Funnel Template to your branding! You can change the colours, add your own gift voucher image, and edit the language to your own wording. Follow the steps below to access the editor mode of your funnel, then watch the video tutorial to see how you can customise the template.

From the left-hand menu of Ivorey™ click on [Site Pages]
On the top menu bar, click on [Funnels]
Click on [Gift Voucher Funnel]
Under the preview of the Order Page, click the [Edit] button.

You are now in editor mode of the funnel and can start customising the template to your branding! 🥂

STEP 3.4: Connect you Domain & update your Path URL's

To publish your funnel, you will need to connect your domain or subdomain to your funnel. Watch the video tutorial below to see how to connect your domain and update the Path URL's

STEP 4: Download & Customise your Gift Voucher Email Templates

The next step is to download and customise your Gift Voucher Email Templates, so that your customers are receiving a beautiful branded experience when they purchase a Gift Voucher. Follow the steps below to customise your Gift Voucher Email Templates:

Download the Gift Voucher Email Templates

From the left-hand menu of Ivorey™ click on [Marketing]
On the top menu bar, hover over [Emails] then from the dropdown menu click on [Templates]
Click on [Create Folder] at the top right of your emails, and name your folder (e.g Gift Voucher Emails)
Click into the folder you just created, and click the [+New] button at the top right of your screen
Click [Email Marketing Templates], and select 'Gift Voucher Emails' from the left hand menu
You will see two emails that you will need to download into your account [Gift Voucher Confirmation] and [Gift Voucher Delivery]
Click on the first email template, then click [Continue] to download it into your account
Repeat steps 4 - 7 to download the second email template into your folder

STEP 5: Create your Workflow

The next step is to create your workflow to bring everything together. Workflows allow you to automate the confirmation email upon purchase of the gift voucher, and to create internal notifications and tasks to remind you to create the coupon and send the gift voucher delivery email to your customer. Follow the steps below to create your Gift Voucher Workflow:

Note: If you are a New Ivorey Member, you will find this workflow Template already in your account by going to Workflows > Bonus Workflow Templates.
If you are a current Ivorey Member and don't see this workflow template in your account, please message us via the chat widget, and we can upload it to your account for you. If you do use the gift voucher workflow template, you will still need to connect each trigger and action to the relevant assets in your account.

From the left-hand menu of Ivorey™ click on [Marketing]
Click [Create Folder], then name your folder (e.g Gift Voucher Workflow)
Click into the Workflow Folder you just created, then click the [+ Create Workflow] button
Select 'Start from Scratch', this will automatically open a blank workflow
At the very top of your screen, name your workflow (e.g Purchased: Gift Voucher)
Next, click on [+ Add New Trigger] and using the search bar that appears on the right hand side, select [Order Submitted] using the [Add Filters] tab to select 'Global Product' > 'is' > then select your Gift Voucher Product from the final drop down menu
Click [Save Trigger]
Next click the + icon under your trigger, and using the search bar that appears on the right hand side, select [Add Contact Tag] > from the 'TAGS' drop down menu you can select your tag, or you can type a new one into the field directly (e.g purchased: gift voucher) > then click the [+ Add New Tag] button
Click [Save Action]
Next click the + icon under your action, and using the search bar that appears on the right hand side, select [Send Internal Notification] > from the 'Type of Notification' drop down menu, choose [Email] and fill in the fields
Click [Save Action]
Next click the + icon under your action, and using the search bar that appears on the right hand side, select [Add Task] and fill in the fields
Click [Save Action]
Next click the + icon under your action, and using the search bar that appears on the right hand side, select [Send Email] and fill in the fields > under the Templates select the Gift Voucher Confirmation Email Template from the dropdown menu
Click [Save Action]
To publish your workflow, switch the toggle from 'Draft' to 'Published' on the top right of your screen, then click the main [Save] button above 'Published'

STEP 6: Create your Coupon Code and Send your Gift Voucher Delivery Email to your Customer

Whether you are here because you've had your first Gift Voucher Purchase, or because you want to understand how to send your gift voucher to your customer when they do - we've got you! Follow the steps below to learn how to create your Coupon Code, add it to your Canva Template, and email it to your customer:

STEP 6.1: Create your Coupon Code

From the left-hand menu of Ivorey™ click on [Payments]
On the top menu bar, hover over [Coupons]
Click on the [+ Create Coupon] button and fill out the fields

Note: The best practice for Gift Voucher Coupon Codes is to create a new coupon for each Gift Voucher purchased, otherwise it can be shared and used by other people who haven't paid for the Gift Voucher.

STEP 6.2: Add your Coupon Code to your Gift Voucher Graphic

The Canva Template should now be saved in your personal Canva Account for you to customise, if it's not - please Click Here to access our Canva Template Link for the Gift Voucher Graphic and customise it to your brand.

Login to your Canva Account and click into your Branded Gift Voucher Template
Update the details of the template:
1. 'A Gift From' is the customer who purchased the Gift Voucher
2. 'Value' is the amount that was selected and paid for
3. 'Valid Until' is the date the Gift Voucher is valid to
4. 'Use Coupon Code' is where you put the customised coupon code you created in the step above
5. 'Click Here to Redeem Voucher' is where you can hyperlink directly to your Website or Services Page for example - this button is optional so you can just remove it if you don't want to add any links
Once you have finished updating the template, download it from Canva to your computer, and upload it to your Media Library inside of Ivorey

STEP 6.3: Email your Gift Voucher to your Customer

Next, from the left-hand menu of Ivorey™ click on [Marketing]
On the top menu bar, hover over [Emails] then from the dropdown menu click on [Templates]
Click into the Gift Voucher Emails Folder, and then click on the 3 dots of the 'Gift Voucher Delivery' email and click [Clone]
Rename the email template (e.g to the customers name) and click [Clone]
Swap the Gift Voucher Graphic for the new one with the Coupon Code and Gift Voucher details on it
Add the downloadable link to the Gift Voucher to the 'Click here to download your Gift Voucher' button and click [Save Template]
Next, navigate to the [Campaigns] tab and click [+ New] at the top right of the screen
Select [Your Templates] and then find your personalised Gift Voucher Delivery email, and click on it to open it up as an email campaign
Double check everything is correct, and then click the [Send or Schedule] button at the top right of your screen and fill in the fields
When you get to the Recipient (To) section, click the + icon under 'Choose Contacts' and search the customer name that the Gift Voucher is being sent to
(Optional Step) We highly recommend sending yourself a test email first which you can do by clicking on 'Send test email' located at the top right of your screen under the [Review & Send] button
Once you have filled out all the required fields, click [Review & Send] at the top right of your screen to send your gift voucher to your customer
