# Ask AI

Learn how to use Ask AI to get more done inside Ivorey™, and access our step-by-step instructions, FAQs, and everything you need to know!

## Before You Dive In

Ask AI is your personal AI copilot inside Ivorey™, ready to help you get things done without switching between a dozen different tools. It’s a chat-based assistant you can use it to take actions in your account and ask questions about your business, create courses, products and more, help you research and analyse data, brainstorm and strategise, draft written content and generate images, all from one place.

What can Ask AI do?

Ask AI is a capable, multi-functional assistant inside Ivorey™ - currently it can:

-   **Answer questions and generate ideas** - get quick answers, content ideas, CTA suggestions, or guidance on how to approach a task  
    
-   **Manage your account** - create, update, search, and manage contacts, custom fields, custom objects, opportunities, pipelines, and calendars  
    
-   **Manage conversations** - start a new conversation, review and update its status, or pull call logs and transcripts  
    
-   **Summarise a contact** - pull together a contact's conversations, appointments, payments, and tasks without manually checking each tab  
    
-   **Build a course** \- set up a full course and course offer through a guided chat conversation  
    
-   **Build a funnel** - create a funnel through a guided AI experience using your business details and branding  
    
-   **Set up products, payments, and orders** - create products and pricing, connect Stripe, generate invoices and estimates, and manage orders  
    
-   **Build workflows** \- start setting up automations without leaving your chat, switch to the workflow builder to publish and test  
    
-   **Manage your integrations** - link Facebook, Instagram, and Google Calendar, purchase a phone number, or handle regulatory/compliance steps  
    
-   **Generate on-brand content** - write emails, social posts, ads, blogs, and campaigns, using your [Brand Voice](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/10050473-create-a-brand-board.md)  
    
-   **Generate and edit images** - create visuals from a written description and refine them through follow-up prompts  
    
-   **Browse the web** - open pages, search online, and extract information or complete tasks, using the Chrome browser extension  
    
-   **Connect to third-party apps or tools** \- fetch information or run tasks directly in your connected external apps, without you needing to leave Ivorey™  
    
-   **Run Ask AI remotely** \- connect external channels like WhatsApp, to be able to prompt and run Ask AI from your external chat, without needing to open Ivorey™  
    
-   **Run scheduled tasks** - set recurring prompts to run automatically and save the results for you  
    
-   **Build and manage ad campaigns** \- create and manage ads across Google, Facebook and LinkedIn, and analyse performance  
    
-   **Set up and manage AI Agents** - create and manage a Voice AI, Conversation AI, Managed Agent or Reviews AI Agent, and build a Knowledge Base to power more accurate responses  
    
-   **Generate reports** - get a summary of your key metrics, trends, and actionable insights across your account
    

What are the current limitations?

-   **Non-supported features** - Ask AI can't create communities, manage your client portal, create websites (see [Website & Funnel AI](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/13631388-website-and-funnel-ai.md)) or online stores, manage affiliates, create or run chat widgets, create or edit gift cards, access raw call or SMS logs (go to [Call Reporting](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/13631341-call-reporting.md) for those), configure call routing trees or IVR menus.  
    
-   **Meetings and Services calendars only** \- Ask AI can help you configure your calendars and manage appointments, but Rental calendars aren’t currently supported.  
    
-   **Workflow setup only** \- Ask AI can now _build_ a Workflow from a prompt, but can't make manual edits to one, test or publish it, or access the execution logs - that all still happens in the workflow builder itself, where you can use [Workflow AI](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/13631358-workflow-ai.md) directly.  
    
-   **File/image storage** \- Any content uploaded to or generate by Ask AI won’t be automatically saved to your media library in Ivorey™. You can get Ask AI to add them to the media library for you or download generated images to your device directly - they will remain available inside the thread to access later.
    

How does Ask AI understand my business?

The more context Ask AI has about your business, the better its results. Two things help Ask AI feel tailored to you:

-   **Brand Voice** - gives it your tone, services, and messaging, so the content it writes sounds like you rather than generic copy. Setting this up first makes a real difference to the quality of what you get back. Refer to our [Brand Board](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/10050473-create-a-brand-board.md) guide for the details.  
    
-   **Memory** \- as you chat, Ask AI saves useful, reusable details about you and your business (e.g. your role, preferences, recurring content) so you don't have to repeat yourself every time. You're in control of what it keeps, and you can review or clear these memories whenever you like - refer to [the steps below](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/13631380-ask-ai.md#heading-11-manage-what-ask-ai-remembers) for the details.
    

This guide is perfect if you want to:

-   Use AI as an assistant inside your Ivorey™ account
    
-   Draft on-brand content like emails, blog posts, social media posts and captions without leaving Ivorey™
    
-   Use AI to create a course or course offer
    
-   Generate and edit images for your campaigns, website, and socials
    
-   Schedule recurring AI prompts
    
-   Let Ask AI go beyond your Ivorey™ account, to operate your browser or connect to external apps
    

> **Warning:** Ask AI comes at an additional usage-based cost. Usage is metered in rolling 5-hour windows. If you hit the limit, access pauses until the window resets. ## How to Use Ask AI

Ask AI works through simple, natural prompts - you tell it what you need, and it responds or takes action for you. You can type your prompt or dictate it out loud.

> **Info:** For content that sounds like you, set up your [Brand Voice](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/10050473-create-a-brand-board.md) first so Ask AI can match your tone and messaging. Without it, responses will be more generic.

1.  From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to **Ask AI**, for a full-screen workspace to focus on bigger tasks, or for quick access from anywhere in Ivorey™, click the **\[Ask AI\]** button in the top right corner
    
2.  Choose how you'd like to start:
    
    1.  Type your prompt into the message box, or click the 🎙 **microphone** **icon** to speak it out loud. Example prompts:
        
        1.  Write a Facebook post for my spring promotion using my brand voice
            
        2.  Give me five blog post ideas about email marketing
            
        3.  Show me tomorrow's booked appointments
            
    2.  (quick access panel only) When using the side panel mode, Ask AI can read the page you’re on, so if your prompt involves what you’re looking at you don’t need to describe it yourself. You can also select specific elements on the page to reference (e.g. fields, rows, settings), before prompting, and Ask AI will focus on it specifically:
        
        1.  Click the **\[**↖**︎\] cursor icon** to select an element from the page you’re on
            
        2.  Select anything on the page > and see it appear above the prompt box as **Selected page content**
            
        3.  Click the **\[**↖**︎\] cursor icon** again to select another element
            
        4.  Click the drop-down > and click the **\[x\]** to remove any selected content - or click **\[Clear all\]** to start fresh
            
        5.  Once you’re happy with the selected content, type and send your prompt or question, and Ask AI will reference the selected elements directly  
              
            **Note:** Once you have something selected, you can switch to full-screen view to type and send your prompt, and continue your conversation, without losing the selected elements.
            
    3.  (full-screen only) Or click to the **\[Templates\]** tab to browse ready-made prompts for common tasks > select one > and Ask AI will take it from there, asking for any extra details it needs along the way. A few examples include:
        
        1.  Connect your Google Calendar and create a new booking calendar
            
        2.  Create an invoice and send to client and record incoming payment
            
        3.  Create a name pipeline with custom stages and add your first deal
            
        4.  Auto-generate course structure and create category and first lesson
            
3.  (optional) Click the **\[+\] plus icon** to upload an image or file (PDF/Word) from your device, or paste in a URL to use as a reference or to include in the task
    
4.  Press **Enter** or click the **\[↑\] arrow icon** button to submit your prompt
    
5.  Review the response > and keep the conversation going with follow-up prompts (Ask AI remembers the context of your chat as you go)
    
6.  While Ask AI is thinking, you can press the **\[**◾**\] square icon** to stop Ask AI from processing a prompt > you can then type in a new prompt
    
7.  If you’re using the full screen **Ask AI** space, click the **\[◧\] window icon**, to open the left-hand side panel:
    
    1.  To begin a separate conversation or task, click the **\[**📝 **New chat\]** button
        
    2.  To return to an earlier conversation, click on any thread under the **Recents** drop-down menu, or click to **\[Search\]** for the thread
        
        1.  Click the **\[⋮\] three dots** on any thread, to **\[Rename\]** it or **\[Delete\]** it
            
    3.  Click **\[Customize\]** to set up and manage **Skills**, **Scheduled** tasks, **Connectors**, and **Dispatch** (more on all of these below)
        
    4.  Click **\[Account\]** in the bottom left corner, to open account settings:
        
        1.  On the **Personalization** tab, you can manage your Ask AI’s **Memory** (more on that below)
            
        2.  On the **Keyboard shortcuts** tab, you can review the available shortcuts
            
        3.  Click the **\[X\]** in the top left corner to close account settings
            
8.  If you’re using the quick access **Ask AI** panel, in the top right corner:
    
    1.  Click the 💬 **speech bubbles icon** to open a new conversation
        
    2.  Click the 🕓 **clock icon** to access a previous conversation
        
    3.  Click your initials to open your account settings
        
    4.  Click the **\[⎅\] split square icon** to dock the quick access panel as a split screen, so you can access your full Ivorey™ screen with it open (click again to return back to overlap panel again)
        
    5.  Click the **\[⤢\] arrows icon** to open the conversation in full screen (click again to return back to the side panel view again)
        
    6.  Click the **\[X\]** to close the Ask AI panel (your conversation will be there to access any time)

### Create a Course or Course Offer

Ask AI can take you from an idea to a structured, ready-to-publish course through a simple chat conversation. Describe what you want to build and it will generate the full outline, write lesson content, set up quizzes and assignments, configure your settings, and set up your course offer, without you needing to click through every setting manually.

1.  From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to **Ask AI** \> click **New chat** > and describe the course you want to build, for example:
    
    1.  Create a 5-module course on email marketing for small business owners, with 3 lessons per module
        
    2.  Build a course called The Confident Leader Lab based on my attached materials, with a welcome module and a drip schedule that unlocks one module per week
        
2.  Ask AI will generate a course outline for you to review > reply to ask for any changes or to approve, before it builds the full structure (e.g. rename module 1 to “Getting Started”)
    
3.  Once you confirm, Ask AI will create the course, modules, lessons, and any quizzes or assessments inside your Ivorey™ account
    
4.  Get Ask AI to help you configure your course settings, for example ask it to:
    
    1.  Set this course to drip one module per week
        
    2.  Set the price for this course to \[price and currency\] per month
        
    3.  Add an instructor bio for \[your name\]
        
5.  Always review and test a course before publishing or sharing the link - refer to our [Course](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/10055762-all-about-courses-a-master-help-guide.md) guides for the details
    

**Note:** Ask AI will ask for confirmation before making any significant changes and won't delete content without a clear instruction, so you can experiment freely without worrying about losing your work.

### Generate and Edit Images

Ask AI can create an image from a written description and refine it through follow-up prompts, for a post, email, or web page. You can keep adjusting it until it's right, then save it to reuse.

> **Info:** Image generation in Ask AI runs on Content AI. Image generation typically uses more tokens than text, so these sessions can cost more. This is billed as part of your Ask AI usage rather than a separate Content AI charge. Please refer to our [Billing and Inclusions](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/11439205-billing-and-inclusions.md) guide for more details on AI tokens.

1.  From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to **Ask AI** \> click **New chat** > type a description of the image you want (e.g. Generate an image of a sunny beach yoga class for a wellness brand) > you can add a design style if you like, such as "realistic", "cartoon", or "3D" > and press **Enter**
    
2.  After a few seconds, Ask AI will generate your image > type an edit instruction into the prompt field below the image, to refine it (e.g. add soft morning light or make the background brighter) > and press **Enter**
    
3.  You can keep refining as many times as you like
    
4.  Once you're happy with your image, click the **\[↓\] down arrow**, in the bottom left corner to download the image to your device, so you can use it

## Schedule Recurring AI Tasks

If you find yourself asking Ask AI the same thing regularly, you can schedule it to run automatically and save the results for you, like a weekly content brief every Monday, or a daily summary of new leads. Your insights arrive on time without you lifting a finger.

1.  From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to **Ask AI** \> click the **\[◧\] window icon**, to open the left-hand side panel > click **\[Customize\]** \> and click **\[Scheduled\]**
    
2.  Click **\[+ New task\]** \> and fill in your task details:
    
    1.  **Name**: a clear label (e.g. Monday content brief)
        
    2.  **Description:** (optional) give more information about the task
        
    3.  **Prompt**: exactly what you want Ask AI to do (e.g. Give me three content ideas for this week based on my brand voice)
        
    4.  **Frequency**: choose how often it runs - Hourly, Daily, Weekdays, or Weekly
        
3.  Click **\[Save\]**
    
4.  You can also create a scheduled task straight from a chat by asking (e.g. Send me a summary of new leads every weekday at 9 am) > and Ask AI will set it up for you
    
5.  Your task appears in the list with its next run time shown in your local time > and will also display in the left-hand sidebar, under the **Scheduled** drop-down
    
6.  When a task runs, open it from your task list to read the result > a 🔵 blue circle marker shows you when a new result is waiting
    
    1.  Click the 📝 **note icon** to edit the task > click **\[Save Changes\]**
        
    2.  Click the 🗑 **trash icon** to delete the task
        
    3.  Click the **\[**▶ **Run Now\]** button to run the task immediately
        
    4.  Under **Repeats**, toggle it OFF to pause > and ON to resume (pausing stops it running until you resume it, without losing your past results)

## Connect Ask AI to Other Tools

Expand your Ask AI copilot’s reach. Ask AI can connect directly to any Chrome-based browser, to open new tabs and run tasks online, without you leaving your Ask AI chat. You can also connect to external platforms, from our selection of available apps or by setting up your own custom Connectors.

### Browser Control

Browser Control lets Ask AI operate your actual browser: opening pages in a new browser tab, scrolling, clicking, typing, and filling in forms on any website, the way you would yourself. It's useful for research, checking for updates online, filling in forms, or completing online sign-ups.

> **Warning:** Browser Control connects through a browser extension which currently supports Chrome-based browsers only (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave and Arc). It always runs in its own isolated tab group, kept completely separate from your personal browsing tabs and sessions.

1.  From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to **Ask AI** \> and either:
    
    1.  Start a new chat or open an existing one > and type a prompt that needs Ask AI to access the web for information or to complete the action (e.g. Go to \[website\] and summarise their pricing plans for me) > Ask AI will prompt you to install the extension, click **\[Install\]**
        
    2.  Go to the **Customize** tab in the left side panel > select **\[Connectors\]** \> below **Connected Apps**, select **\[Browser Control\]** \> toggle it ON to **Enabled** \> and click **\[Get the Chrome extension\]**
        
2.  You'll be redirected to the **LeadConnector - Ask AI** listing in the Chrome Web Store > click **\[Add to Chrome\]**
    
3.  Review the extension permissions > and click **\[Add extension\]**
    
4.  Return to your original prompt in Ask AI, and it will pick up where it left off - or start a new chat and prompt Ask AI > you can watch its progress in real time as opens a new browser tab and executes the request
    
5.  You can press the **\[**◼**\]** **stop button**, in your Ask AI chat, at any time to stop an operation if needed (closing the AI-operated browser tab will not necessarily stop the task from being completed)
    

**Note:** The extension can also click, type, and fill in forms when a task calls for it - if it ever needs sensitive information, like a password or payment details, you'll be prompted to enter it yourself directly in the browser, and Ask AI never sees or stores these values.

### External Apps

Beyond your Ivorey™ account, Ask AI can operate directly in third-party tools or apps via Connectors, to complete tasks or pull data into Ivorey™.

### Dispatch Ask AI from Connected Apps

You can also prompt and run Ask AI remotely, via connected channels like WhatsApp, without needing to open Ivorey™ on desktop or switch to the [LeadConnector app](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/12078718-leadconnector-app.md).

## Use Skills to Save Set Instructions

Skills let you teach Ask AI a process once, so it repeats it the exact same way every time you ask. This doesn’t repeat on a schedule like Scheduled Tasks do, but Ask AI can use Skills on demand or whenever they’re relevant to a request. From a caption format to a full report structure - once it’s set, it's ready whenever you need it.

## Manage What Ask AI Remembers

Over time, Ask AI saves useful details about you and your business so you don't have to repeat yourself in every chat. You're always in control of what it keeps, and you can review or remove anything that's no longer relevant.

> **Info:** Ask AI only saves meaningful, reusable details, not every message. It skips one-off requests and anything it already knows.

1.  From the main Ivorey™ menu, go to **Ask AI** \> and click **\[Account\]** at the bottom left
    
2.  On the **Personalization** tab, next to **Memory**, click the **\[Manage\]** button
    
3.  Review the list of saved memories, or search to find a specific one
    
4.  Click the 🗑 **trash icon**, next to any specific memory, to remove anything that's outdated or no longer useful
    
5.  In the top right corner:
    
    1.  Click the **\[≡\] lines icon** to sort by newest or oldest first
        
    2.  Click the 🗑 **trash icon**, to delete all memories
        
    3.  Click the **\[↑** **Import Memories\]** button, to type or paste in anything you want Ask AI to remember about you or your business
        
        1.  Copy the provided prompt > and paste it into your existing AI assistant (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, etc.), to get a summary of your business from those existing threads
            

**Note:** You can import up to 100 memories at a time, and any duplicates are skipped automatically.

## Frequently Asked Questions

Can Ask AI take actions in my account, not only answer questions?

Yes, alongside writing content and answering questions, Ask AI can carry out supported actions from chat when you ask, such as creating a contact, applying tags, or updating a pipeline.

Will Ask AI carry on processing if I leave the chat?

Yes. You can switch to other work in the platform or close the quick access panel, and your chats will keep processing in the background. You'll get a notification when Ask AI is done or if it needs more input to continue.

Can I run more than one Ask AI conversation at a time?

Yes. Click **New chat** to start another conversation alongside your current one - you can be active on up to 10 at once, each with its own separate context and history.

Will a scheduled task email me when it runs?

No, a scheduled Ask AI task will not email you with the result by default. It runs your prompt and saves the result to its history for you to read. It will only send an email or message if your prompt specifically asks it to, and your account is set up to send internal notifications and/or emails.

Can I use Ask AI from my phone?

Yes, Ask AI is available in our mobile app, LeadConnector! Please refer to our [LeadConnector App](https://help.ivorey.io/en/articles/12078718-leadconnector-app.md) guide for the steps to download the app.  
  
You can also chat with Ask AI straight from your WhatsApp, without needing to switch to the LeadConnector app. Please refer to our [Use Ask AI Remotely](#) guide for how to connect it.

Can my team see each other's Ask AI conversations?

No, each user only sees their own Ask AI chat history, even when sharing the same Ivorey™ account.
