# get signups to your community

Learn all about getting community signups and access our step-by-step instructions, FAQs, and everything you need to know!

## before you dive in

This guide is perfect if you want to:

-   Get people signed up to your ivorey community
    
-   Share a direct community link for free or paid access
    
-   Set up pricing or free entry for your community

## option 1: share your direct community link _(easiest)_

The quickest and most common way to have people join your community community is to simply set a price (or set it to free), and then share the community URL. When you share the link, people will arrive at the "front door" of your community, where they can pay, start a free trial or join for free. This is a great option if you're looking for the quickest and easiest way to get your community live.

1.  From the main ivorey menu, go to **Portals** > **Communities** > **Groups**
    
2.  Login to your chosen community (ensure you have admin access)
    
3.  Go to **Settings** > and then **\[Subscriptions\]**
    
4.  Click **\[Create Price\]** and set the price and currency or set the community to free
    
    1.  If paid, choose **\[Recurring\]** or **\[One-Time\]**, and add the number of days for a free trial if you would like
        
    2.  If paid, choose the billing period: **\[Monthly\], \[Weekly\], or \[Annually\]**, then click **\[Save\]**
        
5.  Go to the **\[Details\]** tab and copy your community URL to share and start getting signups
    
6.  From the main ivorey menu, go to **Automations** > **Workflows** > then click the **\[+ Create Workflow\]** button on the top right-hand side of your screen
    
7.  Set trigger as **Group Access Granted**, add a filter if needed
    
8.  Then **\[Add Tag\]** (e.g. purchased: community name) - this is an optional but recommended step to ensure you tag whoever joins your community
    
9.  (optional) Add any other steps you’d like to automate, for example:
    
    1.  **Send email** \- if you’d prefer a more personal touch, you can send a lovely welcome email here, or even use **Wait** steps to create a welcome series - just ensure that you disable the automated email inside your community settings
        
10.  Toggle your workflow to **\[Publish\]**, in the top right corner > and click the **\[Save\]** button

## option 2: build a funnel _(advanced)_

If you want to create multiple payments options, design your own sales/landing page, and/or access advanced analytics about your page views and conversions - we recommend selling through a sales funnel for paid communities, or an opt-in funnel for free communities.  
  
We have beautiful funnel templates you can add your own copy, colours and imagery to. After learning more about your offer, people can pay or signup via thge form, before being redirected to a final thank you page. After signup, they will receive an email with their login details to the community.
