If your appointments aren't including a Google Meet link for video conferencing - don’t worry - there are a few common reasons this might happen and some quick steps to resolve it. Here’s how to troubleshoot:
Common Questions You Might Have
“Why isn’t a Google Meet link showing up in my calendar?”
“How do I make sure Google Meet links are added to appointments?”
“Which calendar type can use a Google Meet link?"
These are all great questions! Let’s break it down.
Steps to Fix Missing Google Meet Links
Integrate Your Google Calendar
First, make sure your Google Calendar is connected to Ivorey.
Go to Calendars > Calendar Settings > Connections and complete the integration. Without this connection, Google Meet links can’t be automatically generated.
Check Your Calendar Type
Google Meet links are only added for the following calendar types:
Round Robin Calendar: Perfect for distributing appointments among team members.
Personal Booking Calendar: Used for direct, 1:1 bookings.
If you’re using a Service Calendar, links won’t be added because this calendar type is designed for in-person appointments. Consider switching to a compatible calendar type if you need virtual meetings.
Verify Meeting Location Settings
Ensure Google Meet is selected as the meeting location in both your Calendar Settings and Profile Settings:
In Calendar Settings: Go to the individual calendar setup and confirm the meeting location is set to Google Meet.
In Profile Settings: Navigate to Settings > Profile Tab > User Availability and verify that Google Meet is selected as your meeting location.
